Teaching is a passion for Jesús. He first taught in 1992 at the City Conservatory at Villefontaine, France, and subsequently at the City Conservatory at Macon, France. He is a former cello instructor at the French-American Conservatory, and a former Teaching Assistant at The Juilliard School for the Lower Strings Seminar.

In New York, Mr. Castro-Balbi was on the cello faculty at The Juilliard School’s Pre-College division, and developed an active private studio in New York City.

Since September 2003, Jesus serves on the faculty at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
